Positive Choices

Doug has been given an extraordinary gift to help in creating and cultivating Positive Choices. Through his experiences in making choices in his life, he has developed a presentation that will speak to every adolescent. 

He has based the Positive Choices Program on how we view each day and how to recognize a negative choice before it happens by asking yourself 3 questions:

- What is the cause of my decision?

- What is the effect of my choice?

- Who does it affect?

Adolescents have difficulty in differentiating between a positive and negative choice. They also have difficulty in taking action outside of their emotions and making decisions beyond the knowledge obtained from their personal experiences. How can we offer a different approach that will cause them to pause and reflect on the choice that they are about to make? These method’s will help resolve all conflicts in a Positive way and will help develop the Positive Choices in their actions. Together we can work on changing the negative culture that we are living in by looking at ourselves and striving to live in a positive culture. This can be life changing in the thought process for anyone who wants to make this journey.

Sports

It is everywhere and around every corner we turn. We have the responsibility to make changes in our lives. We are creating this Negative Choice Culture, and we are ignoring what we should be doing. It is uncomfortable to stand up for what is right but is very easy to be silent about what is wrong.

All the areas mentioned above can be changed to be a Positive force that can be used for the greater good. We need to stand up and start creating a Positive Choice Culture. I have witnessed the difference that this can make. It is life changing and inspirational. We have the opportunity to change how each adolescent goes through each day. We can choose to ignore the issues or make a life changing decision to help lead our younger generation down a Positive path.
